1996

Principal Approval for establishment of PT Bank Chinatrust Tamara as a joint venture bank was granted by Ministry of Finance of Republic Indonesia with Decree No. S-913/MK.17/1996 dated August 14, 1996.

1997

PT Bank Chinatrust Tamara commenced operation after obtained Business License decree from Ministry of Finance of Republic Indonesia No. 160/KMK.017/1997 dated April 4, 1997.

2000

The opening of 2 (two) Branch offices in Surabaya and Bandung based on approval letter from Bank Indonesia No. 2/145/DPIP/Prz dated March 6, 2000.

2001

  • Chinatrust Commercial Bank increased its ownership from 85% to 99%.

  • Name changing of PT Bank Chinatrust Tamara to PT Bank Chinatrust Indonesia based on approval letter from Senior Governor Deputy of Bank Indonesia Decree No. 3/5/KEP.DGS/2001 dated April 5, 2001.

2016

  • The launching of mobile banking services as the development of technology-based banking transaction facility [digital banking] in March 2016

  • The settlement of sales and marketing team in Pluit akarta Sub-Branches of Kelapa Gading and Puri Kencana especially to support the expansion and development of special credit products and services for the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) market segment in April and September 2016.

  • The launch of 11 [eleven] mutual funds products for customers in August 2016 these wealth management products development is a cooperation between PT Bank CTBC Indonesia with PT BNI Asset Management, PT Eastspring Investments Indonesia and PT Batavia Prosperindo Aset Manajemen.

  • The launching of ‘ProteksiKu and ProteksiKu Tetap’ reference model of bancassurance products as a collaboration between PT Bank CTBC Indonesia and PT Zurich Topas Life in October 2016. These are protection products of credit facilities for the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) market segment.

  • Signing ceremony with The Nature Conservancy Indonesia in December 2016 for the development of ‘Tabungan Alamku’. It is a savings product with main benefit feature for customer to join the donation for nature conservation activity.

2017

2018

  • March 2018: Company joined the National Payment Gateway [Gerbang Pembayaran Nasional, GPN] network. It is the enhancement of technology-based banking transaction facility [digital banking] so that it broadens entire national ATM/Debit networks throughout Indonesia, including PRIMA and ALTO networks.

  • August 2018: The signing of Memorandum of Understanding [MOU] with the Directorate General of Indonesia Home Ministry’s Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) on the utilization of Civil Number, Civil Data, and Electronic Identity Card [e-ID].

  • September 2018: The launch of two new bancassurance products, Q Life Legacy and Q Protection. These are wealth management products, cooperation between PT Bank CTBC Indonesia with PT Asuransi Jiwa Sequis Financial.

2019

2021

  • The signing of a new collaboration between PT Bank CTBC Indonesia and PT Asuransi Allianz Life Indonesia by launching 2 new unit link products, namely Allianz Wealthlink Preferred Life and Allianz Assetlink Maxima to meet customer needs in providing life protection accompanied by investment.

  • The launch of two new bancassurance products, rider products (additional insurance), namely Q Payor Rider and Q Hospital Rider. The two products are the result of collaboration between PT Bank CTBC Indonesia and PT Asuransi Jiwa Sequis Financial and will complement the variety of wealth management products offered by the company.

2022

  • The first ever Channeling collaboration between PT Bank CTBC Indonesia with PT Akulaku Finance Indonesia on 8th February 2022. This collaboration will give customers bigger chance and easier proses for loan requests.

  • The launch of new traditional bancassurance products, called Q Critical Care Plus, collaboration between PT. Bank CTBC Indonesia and PT. Asuransi Jiwa Sequis Financial, which will complement the variety of wealth management product, especially Bancassurance, offered by the company.

  • Bank CTBC Indonesia launched a new interbank transfer service (BI-Fast) to complement interbank money transfer facilities. This service can be used by all customers through tellers at CTBC Bank branches and CTBC Mobile Banking branch offices for more efficient, fast (real-time) fund transfers and can be accessed anytime and anywhere.

  • Bank CTBC Indonesia launched a Virtual Account Product on 1 December  2022, which is a digital payment method through an account created virtually for each customer. To make payments, customers will be referred to their respective Virtual Accounts which consist of a unique customer ID number.

  • Bank CTBC Indonesia launched a Supply Chain Financing (Payables Finance) product, a scheme available through a buyer-led program, which seller(s) in the buyer’s supply chain are able to access finance for their receivables. This technique provides a seller with option of receiving the discounted value of receivables prior to their invoice actual due date. In this case, the payment obligation of the buyer remains at the due date of the invoice. Chain Payable Financing was launched virtually on March 8, 2022

2023

  • Bank CTBC Indonesia launched a Letter of Credit (L/C) product in Chinese Yuan (CNY) on 27 February 2023.

    Bank CTBC Indonesia has issued L/C in IDR, USD, EUR, JPY & SGD and is currently able to issue L/C in CNY, considering that CNY is listed as the 4th most used currency in Trade Finance Global and Indonesia have high import volumes from China. Apart from that, it is hoped that it can meet customer needs because there are several requirements from exporters to carry out transactions in CNY currency.

  • Bank CTBC Indonesia launched the "ViCA - Virtual CTBC Assistant" application on February 28 2023.

    • ViCA  is a virtual assistant application from Bank CTBC Indonesia which uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) technology and is still supported by special agents who serving and providing solutions for customer banking transactions.

  • Bank CTBC Indonesia launched Trade Finance Application Form - Fillable PDF on 16 June 2023.

    • One solution for customers is to submit trade finance transaction instructions to the Bank in PDF format, for convenience, speed and time and cost efficiency in transactions.

  • Bank CTBC Indonesia launched a Bulk Bill Payment Product for Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) bills on September 27 2023

    • Bulk Bill Payment Product for PDAM bills is a water bill payment service for corporate customers who have many payment points with different PDAMs.

  • Bank CTBC Indonesia launched a Cash Sweep and Standing Instruction Product on 6 December 2023.

    • Cash Sweep is a service provided to customer to carry out fund transfer transaction between CTBC account (overbooking) on a certain date or during a certain period. By using Cash Sweep it can help customer to optimize account balances and potential income from current account services, control funds in the account and time efficiency

    • Standing Instruction is a service provided to customer to carry out transaction on a certain effective date. By using Standing Instruction it can help customer to reduce need to make periodic manual transfers, control the transfer of funds which is carried out regularly and time efficiency.

  • Bank CTBC Indonesia Corporate Internet Banking (CTBC e-Corp) launched a transaction feature in EURO currency on December 20 2023.

    • The addition of this feature is to meet customer payment transaction needs and currency conversions in EURO, other than IDR and USD via the CTBC e-Corp application.

  • The launch of 3 (three) new mutual fund products, BNI AM Index Growth30, BNI AM Index High Dividen 20 and BNI AM Sri Kehati. The three products are the result of collaboration between PT Bank CTBC Indonesia and PT BNI Asset Management and will complement the variety of wealth management products offered by the company.

  • PT Bank CTBC Indonesia collaborating with PT Asuransi Allianz Life Indonesia launched two units link products, which are Allianz Wealthlink Protection Life and Allianz Assetlink Optima, following the adjustment towards the new SEOJK PAYDI, which was SEOJK No.5/SEOJK.05/2022.

    The launch of two traditional products as the collaboration with PT Asuransi Allianz Life Indonesia, which are Allianz Life Secure PINTAR, an endowment insurance with 10 years protection period, and Allianz Life LegacyPro, a traditional life insurance with protection period up to 100 years old.
